Travis County Water Control and Improvement District No. 17 (WCID No. 17) is a private non-profit utility company serving water and wastewater to areas of Lake Travis South. All positions require a minimum high school diploma or GED with some requiring higher education. All field positions additionally require a valid Texas Driver’s License; the ability to work overtime when necessary, and good communication skills. Tools are provided for all positions. Field staff is provided a uniform allowance and use of District vehicles for applicable positions. All offers of employment are contingent upon successful clearance by a pre-placement background check, verifying his/her right to be legally employed in the United States, and pre-placement physical examination (which includes a drug screening).
