Operations Manager
Gabe Luna is the Operations Manager at WCID No. 17 and brings a distinguished background to the role including two decades of technical experience in operations, and five years of experience in project management.
Gabe began his career as a Nuclear Electronic Technician in the U.S. Navy, where he gained a strong foundation in precision, safety, and systems reliability. Following his military service, he transitioned into the private sector as a Laser Engineer with Amada Inc., developing expertise in advanced industrial technologies.
Gabe began training in 2019 as a Water Operator for Travis County WCID No. 17. Since 2021, he has served as both Project Manager and Water Department Supervisor for the District, where he has overseen critical infrastructure projects, ensured regulatory compliance, and led efforts to improve operational efficiency.
Gabe holds a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Energy Engineering Technology from Thomas Edison State University.
