District 17 is Ready to Keep Your Water Service On

Posted by on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020 in COVID-19, News

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the District is offering a payment plan for any customer that has fallen behind on their monthly payments.  Please consider giving your Billing Representative a call to get this started.  We are here to help be sure your water remains flowing.

 Dear Customer,

Travis County WCID No. 17 (WCID 17 or District) would like to help keep your utility account in good standing.  Beginning in April 2020, WCID No. 17 suspended all late fees and service disconnections for non-payment as a result of the COVID–19 Virus.  The District understands that you may still be experiencing some hardship during this time so please don’t let your account become subject to disconnection.

We would like to offer an arrangement, which allows you, our customer, the opportunity to:

  • Pay off any past-due balance;
  • Keep the account in good standing; and
  • Avoid disconnections for non-payment.

The District’s suspension of disconnections did not relieve you of your obligation to pay your utility bill.  We do however encourage you to make a payment plan that helps to reduce your past-due account.   We hope that you will take this opportunity to work with us for a resolution that benefits both you as the customer and the District now before your account gets any further into arrears.

Please contact your Billing Representative at 512-266-1111 to make a payment plan that will work best for you.  Mary Estrada (ext. 118) works with properties northeast of Mansfield Dam and customers living in River Ridge; while, Lisa Vickery (ext. 122) works with properties southwest of Mansfield Dam and with customers in Apache Shores.

Thank you.
