Don’t Be Left Behind

Posted by on Monday, August 24th, 2020 in COVID-19, News

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the District is offering a payment plan for any customer that has fallen behind on their monthly payments.  Please consider giving your Billing Representative a call to get this started.  We are here to help be sure your water remains flowing.

 Dear Customer,

Travis County WCID No. 17 (WCID 17 or District) would like to help keep your utility account in good standing.  At this time, WCID No. 17 has suspended all late fees and service disconnections for non-payment as a result of the COVID–19 Virus.  The District understands that you may be experiencing some hardship during this time.

Therefore, we would like to offer an arrangement, which allows you, our customer, the opportunity to:

  • Pay off any past-due balance;
  • Keep the account in good standing; and
  • Avoid disconnections for non-payment.

The District’s suspension of disconnections does not relieve you of the obligation to pay your utility bill.  We do however encourage you to make a payment plan that helps to reduce your past due account.  By establishing a payment plan now, we hope to ease the transition once normal payment processes resume (late fees, disconnections for non-payment etc.). We hope that you will take this opportunity to work with us for a resolution that benefits both you as the customer and the District now before your account gets too far in arears.

Please contact your Billing Representative at 512-266-1111 to make a payment plan that will work best for you.  Mary Estrada (ext. 118) works with properties northeast of Mansfield Dam; Lisa Vickery (ext. 122) works with properties southwest of Mansfield Dam; or Eddie Wall (ext. 116) who works with properties in Apache Shores and River Ridge.

Thank you.
