Mandatory Watering for Residential Users has started, May 1 through September 30, 2010 - Read here to learn more, even though **Lake Travis Looks Full**

Residential customers must adhere to the mandatory schedule May 1 - September 30; Odd numbered addresses - Wednesday and/or Saturday, Even numbered addresses - Thursday and/or Sunday.

School campuses will have specially designed watering schedules which will allow for watering different fields on different days, and the new ordinance also allows for variances and exceptions for customers with special situations such as large properties, or new lawns.  Customers who have installed special water conserving irrigation systems, for example, will be granted variances to allow the systems to operate as they were designed. Systems using reclaimed or recycled water will not be subject to the restrictions.

The time of day customers may water.  To reduce wasting water through evaporation during daytime heat, watering with an automatic irrigation system is permitted between midnight and 10am or between 7pm and midnight of the customers watering day.  Watering with a hand held hose or bucket may be done any time of day or any day of the week.  Other water uses such as washing cars or boats is not restricted to watering days unless increased conservation measures become necessary.

See the frequently asked questions on the new watering schedule if you need some clarification.

Trash & Recycling Program - Be Green ~ Save Green

WCID17 has partnered with IESI to offer solid waste (trash) and recycling to District customers.  WCID17 is interested in protecting water quality and the environment, and recycling does both.  This optional program should save customers money, keep materials that could be recycled out of the waste stream, protect the environment and watershed, help consolidate bills and reduce truck traffic in the neighborhoods.  This program is OPEN TO ALL WCID 17 CUSTOMERS, UNLESS YOUR HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION HAS MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD.
